Bank of debate motions

Selection motion
M1 - THW give children the right to sue parents for lack of love.
M2 - THBT government must give wages to stay-at-home mothers.
M3 - THW allow (sic) the burqa in every EU member (sic) country.

Semifinal motion
M1 - THW ban prisoners from publishing (sic) accounts of their crime.
M2 - THBT war journalists should be forced to reveal their sources (sic) before international criminal tribunals.
M3 - That the trials of alleged (sic) rapists of female victims should only be tried by a female judge and/or female jury.

Quarter final
M1 - THW make aid inversely (sic) proportional to military spending.
M2 - THBT conscription of child soldiers by their parents is justified in the war for freedom.
M3 - THBT the UN should take sides against oppressive regimes (sic) which have lost legitimacy. 

Earlier this afternoon at the Octofinals, teams were given the following motions under the heading "culture":

M1 - THBT indigenous people don't deserve special treatment.
M2 - THW allow (sic) the auctioning of cultural heritage.
M3 - THW apply ethnic-based quota on highly polarised residential areas.

16 high school teams which made it to the Octos of the 2011 ALSA UI High School debate competition Depok Motions for the Octofinals were about 'media and communication', and sides were determined by the flip of a coin.

M1 - THBT the (sic) entertainment industry should not use autistic and retarded people as main characters.
M2 - THW ban smoking in any kind of movie.
M3 - THBT the (sic) media should stay out of the bedroom.

2011 National Schools Debating Championships

The 2011 NSDC Committee officially opened the bid for Chief Adjudicator for the 2012 Team Indonesia selections through an early email posted on Indodebaters.

The following criteria will be considered by the selection committee in choosing the Chief Adjudicator:

1. Past accreditation (preferably ISDC or WSDC);
2. A-core and adjudicating experience (preferably ISDC or WSDC); and
3. Debate experience & achievements.
